Kent J. Kilbourn, PA-C

Kent Kilbourn was grew up in Rowayton, Connecticut, and graduated from the King School.  He attended Hartwick College where he received the Faculty Scholar award in 1993.  He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

He then went on to pursue his education at Quinnipiac University.  He completed the Physician Assistant program with a Masters in Science in 1999.

Kent began his career and training in Neurosurgery at the Yale University School of Medicine.  He acted as Faculty and was also involved in research of the cerebral cavernous malformation gene.  

Kent was offered the position of Instructor of Neurosurgery at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine.  He was instrumental in both founding the Department of Neurosurgery and developing Neuro – ICU protocols for the hospitals new ICU.

Wishing to return back to Connecticut, Kent joined Drs. Shahid and Batson at Neurosurgical Associates of Southwestern Connecticut, P.C.  He is committed to improving the health of his patients.  He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Kent, his wife and two daughters live in Norwalk, CT.
